Rule 51
Reconciliation Monitoring Committee

(1) There will be a monitoring committee as follows in each district to monitor reconciliation-related work and actions at the local level:-
(a) District Judge – Coordinator (b) Chairman of the District Development Committee or in his absence the Local Development Officer - member
(c) One representative of the district-based case review body appointed by the district judge - member
(d) Secretary, District Bar Unit – Member
(e) Two persons nominated by the Reconciliation Monitoring Committee including at least one woman to represent the organizations working on reconciliation in the respective district and the listed conciliators - members
(f) Shrestedar, District Court – Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of the member nominated as per sub-rule (1) shall be two years.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), if the nominated member does not fulfill his official duties honestly or if he lacks capacity, the reconciliation monitoring committee may remove him as a member of the committee at any time. But in that way he will be given an opportunity to submit his explanation before being removed from the post.
(4) The meeting of the Reconciliation Monitoring Committee and other procedures shall be as determined by the committee itself.
